I’m having a fairly lovely Belgian golden ale from Strathcona, a not even month old local brewery. They’re already recieving high praise for this one, and rightly so. I would say their radler is their best so far, though. They sell the golden in 40s, which is unusual but handy. 6.7%, and I’ve eaten little enough today that I’m feeling it.

A mango IPA a friend picked up for me made by a brewery so new they don’t have a sales license or even a name yet. The growler has a sticker of Donald Duck on it, though.
It’s super good, though.

Damn, got me beat for newness, that’s awesome. Solid growler sticker as well. I’ve never had a mango IPA...is it leaning towards a sour at all?

I decided to try something from a brewery that’s only a couple of blocks from where I work. The place is called Iron Goat Brewery and this IPA isn’t bad at all. I don’t think it’s as good as my favorite local brew which is No-Li Brewery’s Born and Raised IPA, but it was still pretty damn good.

That’s an awesome brewery and beer name. My favourite local IPA has to be the Persephone Double IPA, and my favourite local beer is Four Winds Nectarous. I need to try more American stuff, I’ve mostly just had Stone, Breakside, and Occidental

The name comes from the metal goats that are in the big downtown park that suck up the garbage you feed in to them.

I had one of these beauties with dinner tonight. A friend of mine was in Traverse City and picked some of this and Naughty Girl Stout.

“Coming soon to a stoop near you" I hope their beer is better than their lame marketing. I'll have to try it. Enjoying a Liberty Gin neat with some Fee Bros whiskey barrel bitters. Salute!

National beer of Texas. Because sometimes a shitty week calls for shitty beer. And lots of it.

I’d say tart, but not sour.
